ダンゴウオ（スズキ目 カジカ亜目 ダンゴウオ科）
体長：約3cm前後
生息環境：海水魚（水温20℃以下の冷水を好む）
分布：青森県以南〜熊本県の太平洋側
冬から春にかけて、南日本の沿岸に現れる「冬のアイドル」。
名前の通り丸っこい団子のような体型で、胸ビレは吸盤になっており、海底の石や海藻にぴたっとくっついて暮らしています。

Size: Around 3 cm
Habitat: Coldwater marine fish (below 20°C)
Distribution: From Aomori down to Kumamoto along Japan’s Pacific coast

As their name suggests, their bodies are as round as little dumplings, and their pectoral fins have evolved into a suction disc—allowing them to cling tightly onto rocks and seaweed.
